The Dhananjayans inculcate into students the values which this divine art form stands for keeping it relevant to the ever-changing world today.

The Curriculum

The environment is created in such a way that it nurtures the wholesome development of the student. With aesthetically designed classrooms, open spaces which carry through nature’s own vibrations and a curriculum which incorporates a plethora of elements blended to bring the best to the students, Bharata Kalanjali is a perfect setting for complete development of students.
Discipline and focus on the substance of Natya is the core principle on which Bharata Kalanjali runs. The amalgamation of music, science and body discipline incorporating the human values which bind them together adds the support to the curriculum. Natya here is not taught as a subject but a way of living.

The Guru & The Sishya

The language of conversation between the Guru and the Sishya is a key element in ensuring learning is complete. Blending story formats in vernacular language which simplifies the reach to children, the institute attempts to remove the boundaries between art and the learner and keeps the dialogue straight to their senses. This makes learning holistic and everlasting. The children then develop not only in Nrithyam but inculcate this as part of their every day.

Senior disciples who have gone through the rigour of the curriculum are then encouraged to explore their own choreography production, thus providing with them the right platform to express their creativity without being judged. Feedback is provided to channelise their efforts and support provided to take this to the world of the audience outside of the institution. They also get opportunities to compose performing items which the Dhananjayans themselves willingly perform. Group productions are also undertaken which provides an immersive learning opportunity to work as a team, share responsibilities and realise the great joy of collective success!
