"I was 14 or 15 when I discovered Master and Akka on social media through a thillana performance video of theirs. I would sit in my room in Germany, watching YouTube videos of their performances. It opened me up to a world of dance on the Internet and soon, I discovered nuances of natya that I had only had glimpses of in my weekly dance classes. From then on, I had one dream: to travel to India and learn from them. It's only been four months here so far, but the approach to natyam is so different than what I am used to. Here at BK, I find a thoroughness in the training, an extreme attention to detail. More than that, there is so much patience and love that accompanies the instruction. While our teachers might have done a certain margam 100 times, they will explain it to us 1000 times more until we have grasped it. There's a level of nurturing and discipline that you can't find anywhere else and through it, I've learnt that artistically, nothing is impossible."
