Bharata Kalanjali concluded yet another exceptional edition of Jharna – a festival providing a platform to emerging artists. In it’s third year, Jharna 2024 featured 9 artists who presented original, unique performances over 2 weekends. The dancers, selected from hundreds of applications, were urged to ideate and execute unique, original presentations that tread away from the traditional formats.
With full house audience on every day, these performances were applauded for innovative performances and critically acclaimed by experts in the field. Under the guidance of esteemed mentors, The Dhananjayans, CP Satyajit, Shobana Balachandra and Anupama Satyajit, the artists were empowered to delve into a diverse range of creative endeavours, expanding their horizons and pushing the boundaries of their artistic exploration.
The festival took place on January 27th & 28th and February 3rd & 4th at Bharata Kalanjali’s institution in Taramani, Chennai.
