Jyotish, or the light of astrology, is a part of the vedanga and highly developed over centuries in India. Today, people think of it as hocus-pocus, or as a tool to gain an edge over others when it comes to career, or useful while fixing dates for weddings and other ceremonies.

For artistes, jyotish can offer many insights into career, relationships, teaching, fame and fortune. But chiefly, it provides help in understanding the path that is meant for one's soul in this life, and guiding one along that. Whether you believe in it or not, come listen to this lecture.

The Speaker: Tulsi Badrinath has been a student of The Dhananjayans for almost forty years. She is the author of four books, her latest being Madras, Chennai and the Self: Conversations with the city. Around fifteen years ago she was drawn to studying jyotish or astrology mainly from the teachings of Pandit Sanjay Rath, and would like to share what she has learnt, about the many ways it can help one in life.
