Bharata Kalanjali is a distinguished centre for artistic excellence, an enduring space for learning, discipline, and cultural immersion.
Founded in 1968 by the legendary Smt. Shanta and Shri. V.P. Dhananjayan in Chennai, it has become one of India’s most respected institutions for Bharatanatyam.
For over five decades, it has shaped generations of artists by integrating Natyam with culture, discipline, and a deep sense of social consciousness. The training offered here goes beyond technique, nurturing students into well-rounded individuals prepared not just for the stage but for life.
Today, the legacy continues under the leadership of Artistic Director C.P. Satyajit, who upholds the Dhananjayans’ vision with the same commitment to artistic integrity, cultural values, and excellence.
